About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol officer to support a retail location in Los Angeles, California. The officer will safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points and alarm panels, responding to security concerns, and providing professional customer service. The role includes a scheduled mix of daytime and evening shifts.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience.
A guard card or license.

Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and take part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and incidents to appropriate store contacts and/or Allied Universal management.
Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports according to site-specific procedures.
