About The Position
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console Response in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and staff while supporting a positive environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail café location, including dining areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with documenting incidents and communicating relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
