As a Security Officer Full Time Afternoon Retail Vehicle Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns to appropriate property personnel.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
