Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with property guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around residential buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter spaces to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Support a professional residential environment by providing directions, answering questions, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and other security-related concerns observed during the shift.
