About The Position

We’re looking for a professional, reliable Security Officer to join our team in a healthcare environment in Danbury, CT. In this role, you’ll help protect patients, staff, visitors, and property while providing excellent customer service. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to pass required background checks and any state licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role; if not, we will provide you with the training and everything you need for a great introduction to a career in the security industry.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior areas to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance
• Write clear, accurate incident and daily activity reports
• Enforce facility rules and regulations in a fair and respectful manner
• Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and general information
• Work closely with healthcare staff and follow site-specific procedures
