As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Site Observation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, observe and report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to visitors, staff, and the public. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building interiors, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points; observe and report unusual conditions, unauthorized entry attempts, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting appropriate assistance and documenting actions taken.
  • Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated site personnel.
