Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Required hospital vaccines are required.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes the morgue.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and general support while following location protocols and privacy expectations common to a healthcare setting.
  • Assist with de-escalation support, request compliance with location rules, and communicate with staff and/or first responders during medical, behavioral, or operational incidents.
