This role involves providing safe and effective services, adhering to policies related to safety and boundaries, and attending required training. The Security Officer monitors and ensures safety through regular patrols, checking for security violations, securing the property, and reporting maintenance needs. They investigate and report incidents, communicate with the Police Department, and respond to security and fire alarms. This position also assists staff and guests during emergencies, executes evacuation plans, and provides routine security assistance. Responsibilities include escorting personnel, responding to emergency calls, confronting unauthorized personnel, completing reports, and announcing emergency drills. The role also involves maintaining building access, greeting visitors, coordinating escorts, issuing keys and parking decals, performing receptionist duties, directing visitors, acting as a point-of-contact for building maintenance, and enforcing the 'Tobacco Free' Campus policy. General administrative and clerical duties are also part of the role.
