As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Detail in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffing certification preferred.
• Pepper spray certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, screening visitors and/or vehicles as required, and following post orders for sensitive location entry points.
• Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements, remaining prepared to respond to security-related concerns with sound judgment and professionalism.
