Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations, with attention to access points and suspicious activity that could help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces while following post orders, reporting protocols, and applicable government location requirements.
• Carry authorized duty equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws, and support crowd management, access control, and incident response during routine operations and/or special events.
