Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help support screening operations, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help identify security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and facility requirements.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and document screening-related activity, incidents, and/or policy concerns in a clear and timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns to site leadership when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and observing for unusual conditions related to logistics and distribution operations.
