About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Role in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, assist with crowd and line management during exhibits and special events, and help to support an orderly environment for guests and personnel.
  • Observe artwork areas, restricted spaces, and high-traffic locations for security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with team members and/or local authorities when needed.
