Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, staff areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and document incidents, observations, and security-related activities according to site procedures.
• Support a welcoming environment by offering directions and general assistance to guests while remaining attentive to policy compliance, crowd movement, and/or asset protection concerns.
