As a Security Officer Screening Operator in Zionsville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. You will remain visible to help to deter incidents, assist with routine patrols, and deliver customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative team culture built on integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and team members while carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen people, packages, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to the appropriate contact.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting follow-up actions as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns in shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas.
