As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Technology in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer in a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment while responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail food and beverage location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to location procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business interior, entrances, exterior areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and shift updates to Allied Universal leadership and location management.
