Security Officer FT
About The Position
Seeking a Security Officer for a full-time position (40 hours weekly) at Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care in Jeffersonville, IN. The role involves enforcing hospital regulations, providing a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Responsibilities include active monitoring and patrolling of Baptist property, reporting safety hazards and unusual occurrences, investigating complaints, assisting in restraining patients as necessary, and providing protective services. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year minimum experience in military, security, law enforcement, healthcare, customer service and/or International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
- BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.
Nice To Haves
- International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Enforces Hospital regulations.
- Provides a safe and secure environment for Hospital patients, visitors and employees.
- Enforces Hospital policies and security regulations through active monitoring and patrolling of Baptist property.
- Continuously watches for and timely reports potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences of assigned areas.
- Investigates complaints or potential criminal conduct.
- Assists in restraining patients as necessary.
- Provides protective services.
