About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Protection in Tempe, Arizona, you will help safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications office location while providing a welcoming front-desk experience. You will greet visitors, manage access credentials, monitor entry activity, use computer or tablet systems to support security operations, communicate professionally with employees and guests, and follow site-specific procedures and policies. The role is part-time and scheduled for daytime shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Pay is $21.12 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
Manage front-desk access by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
Monitor lobby activity, access control systems, and security-related communications; report unusual activity and escalate concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general site information, and maintain a professional, welcoming reception environment.
