As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Operations in Penns Grove, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, directing guests and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate school personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to designated personnel.
