About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization Driver in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use a computer or tablet to document security-related activity, communicate professionally, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Monitor access-control systems, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain accurate records of access-related activity in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Prepare clear, timely activity and incident reports, and support a professional, welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access.
