About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for patrol and access control at a retail grocery location in Brooklyn, NY. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist customers. The role involves communicating professionally with visitors, employees, and store personnel, responding to security-related needs, and carrying out site-specific procedures and policies. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday through Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday, 3:00 PM–10:30 PM. The pay rate is $18.48–$19.48 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience.
A guard card or license.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
Access control and badge experience.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter.
Monitor access points and store activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate reports and communicate with site management, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
