As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Remington, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and driver entries, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Assist with maintaining entry and exit records for employees, contractors, deliveries, and shipments in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
