As a Security Officer - Office Weekends in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Our Security Officers monitor and patrol assigned areas at a financial institution location, helping to maintain a secure environment through routine patrols, visible presence, access awareness, and strong customer service. In this unarmed role, you will support security-related operations with professionalism and clear communication while reflecting Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter zones, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in support of established protocols for a financial services location.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and relay important information during shift changes and/or to Allied Universal leadership.
