About The Position

As a Security Officer Medical Center Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital-required vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support students, staff, visitors, and faculty by providing directions, answering questions, and communicating important site information in a professional manner.
