Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and/or other assigned posts while maintaining awareness of authorized access, visitor activity, and site rules.
  • Support daily operations by reporting hazards, policy concerns, and/or security-related issues, and providing professional assistance during routine and high-traffic periods.
