About The Position

As a Security Officer for Shopping Plaza in Cerritos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will drive routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and document activity using computer or tablet tools. Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other designated locations.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel while helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents, patrol findings, and daily activities accurately in accordance with site-specific reporting requirements.
