As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document activity. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-control records.
  • Screen vehicles, deliveries, and contractor access in accordance with site procedures, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and emergency protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
