As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and help maintain an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and driver arrivals, issuing access credentials as directed, and maintaining accurate entry records.
  • Observe inbound and outbound vehicle activity at gates, docks, and designated access points; communicate with site personnel regarding deliveries, pickups, and restricted-area access.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
