We offer a fun casino environment with benefits including paid time off, tuition reimbursement and 401K. Full time team members receive even more benefits! Join us for an informational meeting on Wednesday, June 10th @10AM. Plan on being here for at least two hours and bring your resume for immediate interviews. You will learn more about our Security Officer position and all of the benefits of working for PENN Entertainment! The informational meeting will be located in the back-of-house area of the casino. It will not take place on the casino floor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication (written and verbal)
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Able to handle stressful situations dealing with the general public
  • Ability to work in an environment, which may be noisy
  • Need tact when dealing with difficult customers
  • Run on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs
  • Ability to identify and quickly respond to potential problems and conflicts and defend self and others in combative situations
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas including walking and standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to multi task as required (Security Officers cover a wide variety of different posts and work with all departments)
  • Required to initiate positive interactions with guests and employees
  • Actively patrolling sections/floor looking for interaction opportunities, answering calls while still maintaining the ability to build relationships
  • The ability to operate company motor vehicles
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces

Responsibilities

  • Seeking opportunities to always provide exceptional Red-Carpet Service to our guests
  • Supporting property promotions and events
  • Maintaining highly visible patrols to ensure a safe gaming environment
  • Assuring quality support to other departments so they may serve our guests more effectively
  • Handling all escorts of money/chip transactions in accordance with State Gaming Regulations and established Internal Controls
  • Monitoring casino floor for minors
  • Responding to disturbances, emergencies and alarms in the casino and throughout the property
  • Maintaining public order and enforcing safety rules
  • Performing table fills/credits
  • Performing table game drops
  • Performing Bill Validator drops
  • Adhering to all Gaming Regulations and Internal Controls
  • Escorting team members, visitors, vendors into sensitive areas with prior approval.
