As a Security Officer - Full Time Overnight Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support access awareness, respond to routine concerns, and contribute to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with verifying entry permissions for employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with location protocols.
• Support property operations by reporting maintenance concerns, potential hazards, and policy violations, and/or following post orders for after-hours coverage and routine checks.
