About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A private investigator license unarmed is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify entry authorizations in accordance with site protocols, helping to support orderly operations and appropriate access to restricted areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on incidents, visitor activity, patrol findings, and/or policy-related concerns, and relay relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.
