About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Northampton, Pennsylvania. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. The role involves customer service, responding professionally to security concerns, and communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. The stated schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pay is $18.44 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel according to site requirements.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
