Security Officer - Casual
About The Position
This role involves assisting the director and managing various security functions such as key control, photo IDs, card access, Kronos time and attendance, scheduling, fire drills, and officer training. The position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to perform repetitive duties, and make alert decisions in emergency and crisis situations. Responsibilities also include courteously assisting customers and performing core skills related to safely handling, carrying, and operating an issued firearm, as well as proper application of subject control tactics.
Requirements
- EDUCATION: High school graduate
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Valid PA driver’s license
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: PA ACT 235 or PA ACT 120 (with PA ACT 235 waiver)
Nice To Haves
- EXPERIENCE: Previous safety/security experience preferred
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: BLS preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting the director as well as working with key control, photo IDs, card access, Kronos time and attendance, scheduling, fire drills and documentation, and the training and competency of officers.
- Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Performing repetitive duties and alert in making decision in emergency and crisis situations.
- Answering customers’ questions and requests for assistance in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner.
- Performing the core skills required to safely handle, carry, and operate an issued firearm.
- Proper application of subject control tactics.
