As a Security Officer, your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure your hotel remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination. Hourly Rate: $29.93 What you will be doing: Provide security, emergency, and first aid assistance Implement, as directed by the Security Manager, all policies and programs related to Security Services Guide and support all leaders and colleagues with respect to safety & security procedures Educate all new Fairmont colleagues on safety & security Assist in the training of all new security officers Create and maintain proper documentation on any incidents reported by guests or colleagues Ensure adherence to Lost & Found procedures including accepting items with proper documentation, assisting colleagues & guests with inquiries, maintaining accurate logs and following retention guidelines. Investigate and follow up on any reports made by guests or colleagues Review the business continuity plan with the security manager and ensure that all updates are communicated to colleagues, and that all necessary training is provided Conduct lock interrogations and assist Engineering Department with lock repairs Conduct foot and vehicle patrols Conduct health screenings on colleagues and vendors in accordance with company and government guidelines. Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Promote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as to have a complete understanding of the emergency procedures Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
Requirements
- Security, law enforcement, and/or loss prevention experience is an asset
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
- Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally
- Must possess basic computational ability
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail functions
- State of Hawaii Guard Card required
- Valid Driver's License required
- Clean Drivers Abstract required
- CPR/First Aid Certification required
- All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA). Responsibilities
