About The Position

Armorous is hiring a Security Officer for a resort hotel in Santa Rosa, California. The officer safeguards properties, deters criminal activity, and helps ensure the safety of businesses, construction sites, residential communities, and other designated locations. The role calls for vigilance, sound decision-making, and effective communication when handling security incidents.

Duties include hourly tours; securing the premises; checking guests in and out and controlling access; checking entrances and exits; conducting interior and exterior patrols; performing routine lock and unlock duties; and periodically monitoring cameras. During interior patrols, the officer also monitors for noise disturbances and ensures guests comply with established quiet hours.

This is a full-time night-shift schedule from Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Compensation is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid BSIS Guard Card.
• Current BSIS compliance, including an 8-hour initial training certificate and 32-hour continuing education certificates.
• Experience working graveyard shifts.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols and hourly tours to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Check entrances and exits and control access, including checking guests in and out of the property.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the property.
• Perform routine lock and unlock duties for designated doors and periodically monitor cameras.
• Monitor for noise disturbances and ensure guests comply with established quiet hours.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and support public safety.
• Respond to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
• Communicate security updates and concerns to supervisors and team members.
