Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and donors by following site-specific procedures, screening practices, and security-related protocols within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and/or support emergency response activities as appropriate for the site.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or policy concerns, and complete required incident and daily activity documentation.
• Support a professional environment by communicating with staff and visitors, assisting with directions and general questions, and/or helping to de-escalate tense situations when needed.
