Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a dynamic cruise terminal location, where you will help monitor access points, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations for guests, crew, and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a cruise operations location.
  • Screen passengers, visitors, crew members, and/or personal property entering designated areas, following posted procedures and reporting concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professional communication with guests and staff.
  • Monitor entry points, verify required credentials or travel documents as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, terminal spaces, and perimeter locations as assigned, noting unusual activity and documenting observations.
