About The Position

Commissionaires BC is looking for a Casual Security Officer to work at a Government site in Vancouver. This position involves weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 0700 to 1500. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.17 and provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience as a stepping stone into a law enforcement career. Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization established in 1927, dedicated to supporting those who have served in our communities and country. They are a leading supplier of security services for the federal government.

Requirements

Valid BC Security License.
Have lived in Canada for a minimum of 5 years due to clearance requirements.
OFA 1 certificate.
Excellent English oral and written skills.

Responsibilities

Interior and exterior patrols.
Access Control and visitor verification.
First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies.
Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols.
