About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in New York, NY. The officer will conduct patrols and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible presence, supporting site security procedures, and providing professional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, property staff, and team members. The position pays $19.06 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as a condition of employment and in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, building entrances, parking facilities, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, document observations, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while supporting a professional environment for occupants and guests.
