About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a transportation-focused government location in Washington, DC. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and support a welcoming environment for passengers, visitors, and staff. The role involves customer service, clear communication, and professional responses to security-related concerns. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
A Guard Card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of station areas, platforms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
Report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Assist with crowd-management activities during peak travel periods, service disruptions, special events, and emergencies.
