Security Officer Unarmed Incident Response
About The Position
As a Security Officer Unarmed Incident Response in Troy, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role includes routine rounds, reporting observations, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. The position is full-time and pays $21.35 per hour. The posted schedule is 8:00 AM–4:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns to site leadership or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events while following site-specific emergency response procedures.
- Accurately document patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information through required reports and shift handoffs.
