Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be available for last minute shift scheduling.
  • Must be able to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for an educational campus environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, common areas, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, assisting with visitor directions, policy awareness, and reporting of unusual behavior or maintenance-related issues.
  • Support campus operations during events, class hours, and after-hours periods by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts as needed.
