Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while remaining aware of changing conditions.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations by monitoring assigned areas and addressing concerns in accordance with post instructions.
  • Support access control and visitor-related functions by observing entry points, providing directions, and communicating with staff and/or first responders when needed.
