Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access points, greet visitors, patients, and staff, and help to verify identification, visitor logs, and/or credentialing requirements in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Answer phones, provide directions, and support front desk operations by documenting activity, reporting unusual behavior, and/or escalating concerns through proper channels.
  • Help to maintain an organized lobby and reception area by observing activity, supporting visitor management processes, and following post orders and site expectations.
