As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol campus areas by bicycle, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned campus buildings, grounds, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and campus activity, assist with directions and general information, and maintain a professional presence at assigned locations.
  • Document incidents, observations, and completed patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus personnel.
