About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Operations in Radnor, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Screener at an education location, you will welcome visitors, conduct entry screenings, monitor access points, and help maintain an orderly environment. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, students, faculty, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures and responding to questions in a professional manner.
  • Screen individuals entering the location in accordance with established access-control procedures, including directing visitors to appropriate entrances, check-in areas, and departments.
  • Observe entrances, waiting areas, and surrounding activity for unauthorized access, prohibited items, or unusual conditions, and report concerns through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
