As a Security Officer Full Time Evenings in Carpentersville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, documenting visitor activity, and responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the chemical manufacturing location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, issuing access materials, and following established entry requirements.
  • Observe access points, inbound and outbound traffic, and restricted areas for unusual activity, and report concerns through established communication channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
