About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a hospital assignment in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves unarmed patrols in a healthcare setting, including working in and around a hospital morgue. The officer helps safeguard patients, visitors, and staff by maintaining a visible presence, deterring incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment through customer service and clear communication. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be able to receive vaccines required for the hospital assignment.
Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and support a welcoming environment.
Respond calmly to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report security concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities according to site-specific requirements.
