About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Security Screening in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and procedures; identify prohibited or unauthorized items and follow established reporting protocols.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry into designated areas; direct visitors to appropriate locations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Maintain awareness of access points and surrounding areas to help deter unauthorized entry and support a professional, orderly environment.
