As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will ride a bike throughout assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, property damage, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.
