As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a hotel or resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to guests and staff. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, routine observations, and timely reporting. Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel guest areas, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.
